MIKE’S ESCORTED TOURS IN 2023: KENYA In 2023, Mike will be leading two groups to the wildlife-rich private conservancies of Kenya, which are home to an extraordinary abundance of mammals and birds. These Kenya safaris have proved very popular since the private conservancies were created a decade and a half ago and it speaks volumes about them that many clients have booked repeat trips, some of them multiple times. The 2023 tours offer an in-depth exploration of two very special Masai Mara private conservancies that border the Masai Mara National Reserve. Game-viewing and birdwatching are superb but these conservancies offer a very different experience compared with the National Reserve. Tourists and vehicles are restricted to much smaller numbers so the conservancies are far less crowded and accommodation comprises delightful, small camps as opposed to the large hotel-style lodges that dominate the National Reserve. Tour One: 18-30 March 2023 (With both of these departures an optional extension is available to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in northern Kenya).
